Awake my soul tonight, to boast nothing else

So, it's been a long time and I figured why not? I have missed blogging but honestly I haven't had anything to blog about so I didn't want to bore you all with, "So I went to school, then I went to work, then I went home, then I slept and then I went to school, then I went to work..." Ugh, that get's me depressed even thinking about it. But yes people, only about two more weeks and then I will have completed my sophmore year to become an upper classmen once more.

Last night was the coffee house, and while I didn't know what to expect going in the way it turned out was good. While very few people actually paid attention to us, we still sounded really good. What was cool was that it was to God's glory and not ours. I can boast nothing but Christ from last night for I do believe that we were in His will and that He was glorified through us. Praise the Lord! So I guess you could say that the coffee house was a definite success. If you feel like, check us out at Rend Worship. Also, if any of you would like to donate some money (which would also count as a pre-order to a cd) email either me or Dan, we need around 500.00 which we have about 200 or right now before we can get these cds duplicated. Thanks to Candace, Alie, Lissy, Malinda, Joanna, Lindsay and Royce and my parents for coming to support us. To God be the glory!

Hymns

"Great things He hath taught us, great things He hath done
And great our rejoicing through Jesus the Son
Yet purer and higher and greater will be
Our wonder, our transport when Jesus we see!"

I always seem to sing that twice when I sing it. I mean, what a thought. God has taught us and shown us only glimpses of Himself yet it is almost enough to overwhelm me sometimes. But seriously, I can't wait for that day when I can see Jesus face to face!

I thought the worship last night at h20 went really well. We sang two hymns. Why is it that they were so much better at writing songs than anyone today? Especially Christian worship. I mean, there is a hymn for every emotion, every attribute of God and things like the resurection, the death of Jesus, etc. Basically, hymns rule. That is all.
